Here's a quick snippet from former FSO members - shall we call them graduates? - Paul and Anj:

When Paul Met Anj

"What do you mean you're a semi-vegetarian?"

"Well the option of semi-vegetarian was there and I figure I eat meat and veg so yep, I'm a semi-veggie"

And it was this simple answer on my FindSomeone profile page which brought me to be sitting in a bar in Kingsland, waiting to meet my first date, only four days after registering on the online dating site.

Sitting there with my glass of coke, you begin to wonder if the picture on the profile page was really that person, would they be sending their chubby friend or would she think I was a complete bore? Fortunately I didn't have to worry for long, as in walked Anj and her smile told me it was going to be a great night. You know it has been something special when you look at your watch after what you think is only five minutes, to find you have been chatting and laughing for almost four hours! I knew almost immediately that I had found a new best mate and then at the end of the night as we shared a goodbye kiss, I began to feel I had found a whole lot more.

The next day I woke up smiling, thinking about the amazing night before and whilst skipping around my apartment, I sent Anj a message "If Carlsberg made first dates, it would be ours last night".

Throughout that day, I was getting texts from mates asking how my date went and I couldn't wait to tell them how great it was. Once I got home from work, I logged on to FindSomeone and I had several messages and smiles, from ladies who I'm sure were lovely but I couldn't imagine how meeting any of them could better the night before. So I clicked on "Cancel Account" and pulled out my phone...

"Hi Anj, it's Paul here, I hope this isn't too forward but I've just cancelled my FindSomeone account, I figure it's done exactly what it says it'll do!"

After pressing Send, the next few minutes felt like hours and then a reply...

"Hi Paul, I feel exactly the same, I've also cancelled my account".

And that folks is how the romance began and how on the 15th January 2012 I found myself dropping to one knee to ask the girl from the Carlsberg date to marry me.
