I have been asked to write a little bit about my special someone I have met through your wonderful site.

Back in October I started chatting with a lovely man "Richard". We started chatting at first then we moved onto emails (he writes the most fabulous letter). And we eventually graduated to telephone conversations. We lived rather far apart - Richard living in the Canadian Arctic and me in Manitoba.

On Richards way to Australia for a 2 month business trip and holiday combined - he flew through Winnipeg and took me out to dinner giving us the opportunity to finally meet.. What was only going to be overnight turned into 3 glorious days. We got on like we had known one another all our lives. It was terrible saying good bye. However Richards 2 months was only 2 weeks and he was back home with me for the remainder of his holidays... Winnipeg is by no stretch of the imagination anything like Australia - however Richard seemed more than happy to be here with me and my 2 little boys and has taken on the roll of being "daddy" very seriously.

Richard eventually did have to return to his work in the Arctic - though we managed to commute to one another a few times each. Visiting the Arctic is not a place I ever thought I would get to - however I enjoyed my visits there immensely and am moving up there once the school year ends with my two boys.

For Valentines Richard flew into Winnipeg and not only was that a surprise he also gave me a beautiful Arctic Diamond and asked me to marry him.

Next week (Monday) we are flying to England - Richard very much wants to see where I was born and have looked into getting married there if at all possible..

Life is great. Thank you very much.
